Yambaru National Park

Good Morning! My homecoming! It’s been wonderful traveling in Okinawa, meeting old friends and making new friends for the past 9 days, from February 20th till 28th! The best two things about this trip are: to meet up with two centenarians in Ogimi Village, the most longevity country in Japan, and to visit the Yambaru National Park in northern end of Okinawa Island and to see many endangered endemic animals! Yambaru National Park was established in 2016. The park comprises a land area of 13,622 ha in the villages of Kunigami, Ogimi, and Higashi togetehr with 3,670 ha of the surrounding waters. 

Now I’m ready for the Inaugural cruise Costa-Venezia to Okinawa for 5 days in early April, from April 7th till 11th. Being split into three different legs, Trieste-Dubai, (20 days) Dubai-Singapore (18 days) and Singapore-Yokohama (17 days), the inaugural cruise Costa-Venezia will depart from Italy on March 8th, then to Croatia, Greece and Israel before transiting the Suez Canal and making calls in Jordan, Oman, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Next will be calls in India, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The last leg of the cruise will be from Singapore to Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and finally Japan.

The 135,500-ton Costa Venezia will have 2,116 cabins for a total of 5,260 passengers. A second sister ship also designed for the Chinese market will be delivered by Fincantieri in 2020.
