Year End Concert

I got up early to have my hair curled at a beauty parlor in the neighborhood this morning for two big events, the year end concert of classic Chinese songs at Fu-der Nursing Home in the afternoon, and Division H Xmas Party in Tam-shui in the evening.

The year end concert was a warm up concert for the coming New Year concert at the Cardinal Tien Hospital in January. I arrived at Fu-der Nursing Home at 1:30PM to meet up with singers from Wen-san Communicty College for the first time, and to work with the sound track system at the nursing home, and to go through the details of the concert program with the helping assistants.

It turned out to be a successful concert for a group of 20 plus in-patients at the nursing home, young and old, men and women. A few patients sang loudly along with us at the mix and match chamber and karaoke concert. I saw tears in the eyes of the patients listening to the classic Chinese songs at the nursing home. I saw their lonely hearts at the nursing home.
